All I Wanted To Do
This is from the cover of the debut single, 'All I Wanted To Do'. It was taken in a disused warehouse in London. The band later discovered it was the actual building John Merrick, the 'Elephant Man' was taken after he was liberated from the circus. Spooky place. |

In The Van
The first tour. From left to right: Joe, Budgie (Chief Roadie), Pete (Guitar Tech), Paul (Drum Tech), and Gav. It was a beautiful summer, the gigs were hot & sweaty, and the smell in the van was intense. |

South Manchester Reporter
Taken on School Lane 1989, just around the corner from Joe's house. That pile of rubble is now a trendy wine bar. |

Kerrang!
From the first Kerrang! interview. The shoot was on a bridge in Brixton, & whilst the photographer was changing film, the band noticed his car being towed away on the street below. Not wanting to spoil the day, they kept quiet until the end of the session! |

Marquee Club
Dave during the first gig at London's famous Marquee Club, supporting Romeo's Daughter. The band were nervous, but the crowd reaction made sure Sweet Addiction were back to headline before the year was out. |

5 Piece Line Up
Just before they started recording 'All The Fools In Town...' the band advertised for a piano/organ player and found 18 year old Lee Horsley (second left). |

Mad Hatter Studios, Stockport
One of the earliest shots of the band, this was taken for a local paper outside Mad Hatter, where Sweet Addiction rehearsed and recorded their first demos. |

|
The Pulse Club
A very early live shot of Gav, Matt and Dave at Pulse, a club that was less like the Cavern, more like a cave! Apparently it was a hip venue in the '60's and played host to legends such as Jimi Hendrix & The Who. |

Born to be Gav
A recent picture of the drummer geezer. Rumours that he's auditioning for Judas Priest are untrue. |

Cumbria Rock '91
The boys do not appear to be the nervous wrecks they actually were at their first festival. The show went down a storm and was broadcast live on Radio 1. |

|
Pulse Club 2
The band returned to the cave in Stockport to play a special gig before it closed down. |

Gav @ Monroes
Sweet Addiction blagged their way onto the support slot for this show during the Quireboys' first UK tour... |
|
|
|
Matt @ Monroes
...And they played so early that the Quireboys hadn't even left to get changed! Frontman Spike liked the music and invited them to London to play at a night he was hosting in Soho... |
